Guam
is a duty free shopping port and home to one of the largest
Duty Free shopping malls in Asia. Duty Free Galleria have built
a vast shopping complex in the heart of Tumon, which conveniently
includes a Continental Airlines City Check Center, a very large
Planet Hollywood and bus parking. Not to be outdone competition
has established several smaller mall complexes each side of,
across the road from, and up and down San Vitores Road from
the Galleria, the largest of which is the Plaza Bayview directly
opposite. All sell a wide range of international luxury brands,
including Gucci, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Guess, Estée Lauder,
sports brands and equipment from Nike to Greg Norman and a comprehensive
selection of Guam souvenir and novelty items. There are also
many smaller, individual fashion and sports boutique stores
located along San Vitores Road. Competition is fierce and prices
very competitive.

are just a short bus or taxi ride from the Tumon area. A regular
Shopping Bus shuttle runs between hotels and shopping
malls every 15 minutes. All the major international luxury
and sports brands, as well as several popular US brands, are
to be found at these large US style shopping malls, with the
except of K-Mart. K-Mart is a true US shopping experience
offering a complete range of budget sports, fashion, health,
food and domestic products in overwhelming abundance. Guam's
K-Mart is the world's largest, is open 24 hours a day and
is extremely popular with both visitors and local residents
alike.
The Chamorro
Village in Hagatna is a modern complex of individual shops
and restaurants designed to resemble an old Spanish market.
A good selection of local handicrafts, jewellery, fresh produce,
and curios are available at sensible prices.
