Alte Guam resort is an
86 acre, USGA recognised, 27 hole tournament golf course
dotted with coconut palm trees and ponds. Fairways more
than 60 meters wide and hazards ranging from a variety
of bunkers and ponds to coconut trees, make for a challenging
course for everyone from experienced to novice players.The
greens are a soft touch, Hybrid Bermuda grass and subtle
undulations determine the difficulty of a putt by pin
position.

A popular course for both tourists Guam
residents , Country Club of the Pacific (CCP) opened in
1973.
The 18 hole, par 72 course, designed by Kisho Kurokawa,
extends over rolling hills along Guam's southern coastline
providing panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from
just about every hole. Hole 12 is said to provide one
of the most the breathtaking views on Guam with an unobstructed
view across the lush greens of the course to the rich
blues of the ocean and sky beyond.
CCP is all about dynamic shot holes. On and out course,
CCP combines skill and technique with fantastic views
swept by ocean breezes. The course's trademark holes
are hole 5 going out, a long hole on which the fairway
gently slopes down to the green and hole 17 coming in,
offering a difficult shot through the palm trees.

Club (GICC), designed by Golfplan and Ayako Okamoto ,
is a championship course with a USGA course rating 74.0
from the tournament tees. At GICC golfers can enjoy the
natural, tropical beauty of the Guam and a challenging
golf game. GICC 18 hole, par 72, course features undulating
fairways with strategically placed bunkers and ponds laid
out over 6,000 yards of beautifully landscaped fairways
and greens . Each green is a test of the golfer's putting

LeoPalace Resort Country Club features a
27 hole golf course made up of three nine hole courses:
Course C and D were designed by Arnold Palmer and Course
E designed by Jack Nicklaus, making for it a true championship
course. In May of 1996, Guam's premier golf tournament,
the APGA (Asia Professional Golfer's Association) Guam
Open, was held at Leo Palace.
This exciting course makes its way through Guam's rugged
hinterland, over steep hills,through deep valleys and
across the wet lands of the Manenggon Hills. With dense
jungle lining the fairways and surrounding the greens,
LeoPalace requires good ball control, challenging all
levels of golfers. Playing LeoPalace is all about perfecting
one's swing and getting off a good shot than winning
or losing the game.
There is also a condominium-style hotel on the grounds

Kown as Guam's "Jewel
of the Pacific", the Mangilao Golf Club is nestled
on the central east coast of Guam. It was designed by
world renowned Nelson and Wright Golf Course Architects
from Hawaii and
boasts 6,904 yards of breathtaking and picturesque beauty.
The Out-course, which consists of holes number 1 through
9, measures 3,401 yards and rests on the upper-level of
the two tier coastal plateau . A relatively short, but
challenging course a player's golf skills are tested by
several lateral hazards, fairway and greenside bunkers,
and warm, tropical sea breezes from the Pacific Ocean.
The In-course, which consists of holes number 10 through
18, is one of golfing's ultimate experiences. The course
winds along the the lower-level coastal plateau right
beside and at times over the Pacific Ocean. This 3,503
yard course presents a unique test of ability and skill
for golf enthusiasts of all levels. Also called the "
Pebble Beach of the Pacific" players will enjoy its

challenging golf. Mangilao's signature hole, the Par-3
number 12, stretches
across the rolling surf to a green built atop a rocky
outcrop making a very daring tee shot.
Mangilao Golf Club is a membership club but welcomes

Talofofo Golf Resort also offers spectacular
views and challenging golf for all levels. Designed by
nine U.S. Senior Professional Golfers- Sam Snead, Chi
Chi Rodriguez, Gene Sarazen, Billy Casper, Doug Ford,
Gene Littler, Orville Moody, Bob Toski, and Ben Hogan
- it features a relatively flat front nine with a more
difficult and challenging back nine . The front nine has
wider fairways lined by tropical trees, flowers and water
hazards. Hole number 6 is designed as a replica of Talofofo
Falls and is course's scenic "photo op" hole.
On the other hand, the back nine, which overlooks Guam's
tropical jungle and mountains, challenges each player's
skill and course management techniques. The fairway of
Hole 11 runs through a sloping jungle area to the green,
while Holes 15 and 17 present dynamic shots through coconut
tree groves and Hole 18 a long drive uphill. |

Windward Hills Country Club (renamed as such from Takayama
Golf Club in 1995) is the oldest golf course on Guam.
An American-style 18 hole, par 72, public course, it
opened in 1951. Designed as a family course, Windward
Hills can be enjoyed by
singles, couples and beginners in an "at home"
atmosphere. A course which follows the natural lie of
the land, the out course features relatively easy shot
holes, while the in course is more demanding on technique.
Notable holes going out are Holes 4,5 and 6 (which
follow the design of Ben Hogan's home course in Texas,
Fort Worth ), and Hole 15 coming back , which rest on
top of a high hill. Hole 5, a long Par 5,
offers a chance to test driving skills while Hole 15
tests tactical play.
